Did you know?

Pope Benedict said "People who pray the Rosary are appealing to the Mother of Mercy and so merciful is She, that She's inclined to aid spontaneously, those who suffer. She is absolutely incapable of refusing help to those who invoke Her. The Rosary prayed daily is the most fitting formula for praying and meditating."

You can join fellow parishioners at 6:40 AM weekday mornings before Mass and pray the rosary!

Strong, Loving, and Wise

Bishop Thomas Tobin came to Saint John Vianney last night and inspired over 150 parishioners and guests with a presentation titled "Strong, Loving, and Wise".

The Bishop spoke of three of the virtues that are found in Saint Paul’s Second Letter to Timothy. He explained that these words, STRONG – LOVING – WISE, should be used to serve as directions for how all Catholics should live their everyday lives despite everyday challenges.

He reminds us that...

The Spirit God has given us is no cowardly spirit, but rather one that makes us strong, loving, and wise. II Timothy 1:7

After his presentation, the Bishop welcomed several questions from the audience and then joined everyone downstairs for coffee and desserts. We were truly honored to have the Bishop at SJV to share his insights.

Be sure to post your comments/feedback about the Bishop's visit!

Pageant News

There were 35 children in grades 2-5 who participated in the Pageant this year. The children beautifully presented their "gift" of the gospel narration at the 11:30 mass on the Feast of the Holy Family. Thanks to Mrs. Mary McNaught and her team for the direction of the event.
